Reality of Fear

You’re not scared of the dark.
You’re scared of what’s in it.

You’re not afraid of height.
You’re afraid of falling.

You’re not afraid of the people around you.
You’re just afraid of rejection.

You’re not afraid to love.
You’re just afraid of not being loved back.

You’re not afraid to let go.
You’re just afraid to accept the reality that he’s gone.

You’re not afraid to try again.
You’re just afraid of getting hurt for the same reason.

The Two Islands: An Unusual Personality Test That Will Surprise You!

There are two neighbouring islands. One of the islands is inhabited by two men, an uncivilized savage and a civilized man. On the other island, there are several people including a woman who is in love with the civilized man.

One day the woman decides to visit the civilized man in the opposite island. She asks a boatman the fare to take her to the island. The boatman says, “I do not want any money but will take you to the other island, if you undress.”

Shocked and confused at his reply, the woman goes to a wise man. The wise man listens to her story and replies, “Do what your heart tells you.”

The woman decides to accept the boatman’s proposal, just to meet her lover. But when they reach the other island, the savage on seeing the naked woman, tries to rape her. At the same moment, the civilized man comes and sees them. Out of anger, the civilized man tells the woman to leave immediately and that he no longer wants her.

Now, evaluate the 5 characters of the story from the best to the worst. The number 1st is the character that you believe to be the best person of the story and the 5th is the worst of all.

Interpretation

Savage – Your needs are more important than anyone else’s.

Civilized Man – The importance of other people’s opinion.

Girl – Your need for emotional relationship.

Boatman – Your need for earning money.

Wise Man – How much you rely on logic.

The order you placed them in, speaks a lot about what you value the most.

This Is a Father

A kid in the street was crying because he wanted my shirt. He simply did not shut up.

His father shushed him, looked him in the eye and said, “Son, you have no right to take that man’s shirt. There will be lots of moment in your life when you will not get what you want, even if it would be fair. You are not special. You are not unique. And, I can assure you, whining will not get you anything.”

Then he let the boy cry until his tears dried.

Moral Dilemma

A man was given a moral dilemma at his job interview. His answer is genius.

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. You pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

  1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
  2. An old friend who once saved your life.
  3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

Think before you continue reading. This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect dream lover again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. I love this; I may actually use it sometime for an interview situation.

WHAT DID HE SAY?

He simply answered, “I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the old lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the woman of my dreams.”

Tree, Leaf and Wind

Leaf’s departure is because of Wind pursuit. Or because Tree didn’t ask her to stay.

Tree

The reason I’m called Tree is because I’m good at painting trees. Over time, I started to use a tree on the right hand corner as a trademark for all my water colour paintings. I dated five girls when I was in Pre-University. There’s one girl whom I really love a lot. However, I never dared to woo her. She doesn’t have a pretty face, a good figure or outstanding charm. She is just a very ordinary girl.

I like her. I really like her. I like her innocence. I like her frankness. I like her cuteness. I like her intelligence and her fragility. The reason why I did not woo her is because I felt somebody so ordinary like her is not a good match for me. I’m afraid that all the good feelings I have for her will vanish after we get together. I’m also afraid that the gossips that follow after we get together will hurt her. I felt that if she’s meant to be my girl, she will be mine ultimately and I don’t have to give up everything just for her. The last reason made her accompany me for three years. She watched me go after different girls as I made her heart cry for three years.

Tapi dia hanya wanita biasa saja.

TV yang Salah

oleh Roy Saputra

Your life is the fruit of your own doing. You have no one to blame but yourself.
-Joseph John Campbell-

A Corporate Story

Every day, a small 🐜 Ant arrives at work very early and starts work immediately. 🐜 She produces a lot and she was happy. The Chief, a 🐯 Tiger, was surprised to see that the 🐜 Ant was working without supervision. 🐯 He thought if the 🐜 Ant can produce so much without supervision, wouldn’t 🐜 she produce even more if 🐜 she had a supervisor!

So 🐯 he recruited a 🐝 Bee who had extensive experience as 👷 supervisor and who was famous for 📝 writing excellent reports. The 🐝 Bee’s first decision was to set up a 🔔 clocking in attendance system. 🐝 He also needed a secretary to help him write and type his reports and he recruited a 🐇 Rabbit, who managed the archives and monitored all ☎ phone calls.

The 🐯 Tiger was delighted with the 🐝 Bee’s reports and asked him to produce 📊 graphs to describe production rates and to analyse 📉 trends, so that he could use them for 📁 presentations at Board‘s meetings.

So the 🐝 Bee had to buy a new 💻 computer and a laser printer and recruited a 🐈 Cat to manage the 🌐 IT Department. The 🐜 Ant, who had once been so productive and relaxed, hated this new plethora of paperwork and meetings which used up most of her time…!

The 🐯 Tiger came to the conclusion that it was high time to nominate a person in charge of the department where the 🐜 Ant worked. The position was given to the 🐒 Monkey, whose first decision was to buy an Air Conditioner and an ergonomic 💺 chair for his office. The new person in charge, the 🐒 Monkey, also needed a 💻 computer and a personal assistant, who he brought from his previous department, to help him prepare a 📑 work and 📃 Budget Control Strategic Optimization Plan.

The Department where the 🐜 Ant works is now a sad place, where nobody laughs anymore and everybody has become upset.

It was at that time that the 🐝 Bee convinced the boss, the 🐯 Tiger; of the absolute necessity to start a climatic study of the environment. Having reviewed the charges for running the 🐜 Ant’s department, the 🐯 Tiger found out that the Production was much less than before. So he recruited the 🐤 Owl, a prestigious and renowned consultant to carry out an audit and suggest solutions.

The 🐤 Owl spent three months in the department and came up with an enormous report, in several volumes, that concluded.

.
.
.

“The Department is overstaffed…”

.
.
.

Guess who the 🐯 Tiger fires first?

.
.
.

Of course, the 🐜 Ant…,

.
.
.

… because 🐜 she showed lack of motivation and had a negative attitude.
